Hong Kong actor Tony Leung has married long term partner Carina Lau in a Buddhist-inspired ceremony in Bhutan, according to reports.
Tony Leung came to the attention of Western audiences in Wong Kar-wai’s In The Mood For Love, and Infernal Affairs, which was remade by Martin Scorsese as The Departed. He also appeared with Carina Lau in Kar-wai’s 2046. He most recently appeared in Ang Lee’s controversial Lust, Caution.
Based on the comic books by Tsutomu Takahashi and from Ryuhei Kitamara, the director of Versus, comes this live-action sci-fi horror-fest, released by Optimum on Monday 1 September.
The live-action version of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata famous supernatural Manga gets a UK release as a special limited edition 2-disc DVD. Directed by Shusuke Kaneko (Azumi 2, Gamera) and starring Battle Royale’s Tatsuya Fujiwara, the DVD is released by 4digital Media on Monday 21 July.

Coming soon from Manga, Origin: Spirits Of The Past – Directed by Keiichi Sugiyama (Neon Genesis Evangelion), is the first full-length animated feature film made by Studio Gonzo, the Japanese anime studio responsible for the likes of Final Fantasy: Unlimited, Hellsing and She, The Ultimate Weapon.
Origin: Spirits Of The Past is released by Manga on DVD on 25 August.
Johnnie To and Wong Ka-fai’s Mad Detective, starring Lau Ching Wan, is on a limited theatrical release around the UK from 18 July, beginning at the ICA, London.
