Going global on BBC World News TV

That’s me on the left, second pixel along…

So here it is, part of my debut on global television. Well, actually, television full stop. Scary…! :(

On Facebook, Twitter and even here on easternKicks earlier today, you’ll have heard me mention that I was on the BBC World News TV programme Global with Jon Sopel alongside Philip Dodd to discuss the impact the legendary Run Run Shaw had on the global film industry. Well here is the footage, albeit in low resolution, to prove it wasn’t just a dream or fabrication. Even I’d started to wonder…

Approached as a member of the informal group London Asian Film Society, I was honoured to be asked to be on the programme, and also very happy that a seasoned pro like Philip was around to carry most of the discussion. How much sense I made is another matter.

(Part of me is rather glad this is low resolution. Just wish there was no audio either…)
