In cinema’s today: John Woo’s Reign Of Assassins

Co-directed by John Woo, Reign Of Assassins starring Michelle Yeoh (The Lady, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Wing Chuun, Butterfly And Sword) Jung Woo-sung (The Good, The Bad, The Weird, The Warrior), Wang Xueqi (Bodyguards And Assassins, The Founding Of A Republic), Shawn Yue (Dragon Tiger Gate, Initial D: Drift Racer, Infernal Affairs), Kelly Lin (Sparrow, Triangle) and Barbie Hsu (My Kingdom) finally makes it to UK shores with a theatrical release from today.

Promising a period-set martial arts actioner that combines the action-comedy and romance of Mr. & Mrs. Smith with the identity swap thrills of Face/Off, John Woo and Su Chao-pin’s Reign Of Assassins sounds like a fun wuxia, and a great way to see Yeoh in an action role again…
