
Korean Film Night: The Murmuring
In the first of three films examining and highlighting Korean female filmmakers, this weeks Korean Film Night features documentary The Murmuring (1995), following a number of elderly Korean women who were previously known as Comfort Women, a term referring to Korean women that were forced into prostitution by the Japanese army during the occupation, directed by Byeon Young-ju.
The film will be screened this Thursday evening at 7pm, 25 August. Screenings are free but places must be booked in advance. Note that visitors cannot be admitted after 7.10pm.
