Released today: Dororo – win the DVD!
Out today, Akihiko Shiota’s entertaining live-action update of the Dororo manga, by Astro Boy creator Osamu Tezuka – and there’s still a chance to win a copy on DVD…!
Based on a 1960s manga series by Osamu Tezuka, creator of Astro Boy, Dororo stars Kou Shibasaki (Memories Of Matsuko, One Missed Call, Battle Royale) as the eponymous lead who crosses paths with Hyakkimaru (Satoshi Tsumabuki, The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift), a samurai intent on regaining 48 body parts from the 48 demons his father promised them to, joining him on a journey to face and destroy each and every one.
Directed by Akihiko Shiota (Canary, Harmful Insect), the film features action choreography by Ching Siu-Tung (House Of Flying Daggers, Hero, A Chinese Ghost Story, An Empress and the Warriors). Special Features on the DVD include: “Road To Dororo” featurette; deleted scenes; trailer gallery; stills gallery.
