Seems like things are already hotting up for this years London Korean Film Festival, running from 3 to 17 November. It starts with a special screening of Kim Tae-yong’s Family Ties, a critically acclaimed and award-winning take on an eccentric family starring Bong Tae-gyu Eom Tae-woong and Jeong Heung-chae.

The film will be followed by a Q & A with the director himself, Kim Tae-yong, whose other work includes Memento Mori from the Whispering Corridors franchise, On the Road, Two and Late Autumn. Kim Tae-yong has also been involved in overseeing restoration some of Korea’s earliest known films, including the earliest surviving film Crossroads of Youth, which will play this Saturday 10th September at The Mayor of London’s Thames Festival, OXO Tower.
